These symbols can be saved to the user account in Supabase. If the account is not active yet, the button still falls back to local storage so the experience does not break.

We can still keep the local watchlist, but Supabase persistence is only available for accounts with market access.

Why this layer matters
The watchlist becomes the bridge between discovery and deeper analysis. Later we can sync it to the account and use it for alerts, forum follows and premium token research.
Account-backed when possible.
Local fallback if auth is not ready.
Easy future upgrade to subscriptions.
